Nice. The descent down Fig Mountain Road to Cachuma Saddle was really rough when I did it. This is very, very good news. Thanks!

After having done the front side of Figueroa Mountain Rd a few times, I finally got around to doing the backside this morning. Yes, it's not anywhere as spiky as the front side (though the climb to Cachuma Saddle has its moments), it's a wonderful climb in its own right, as well as having an absurdly fast descent to Neverland Ranch!

I do want to mention that most of Figueroa Mountain Road from Cachuma Saddle to the summit is freshly paved; I don't recall this being so nice when descending this in the late Winter this year. I thought you might appreciate this good news.
